Highlights and Achievements

Since the 2004 reopening, the Musée du Fjord has several times been rewarded for its accomplishments:

Lauréat national bronze 2007 Astral Media award, Grands Prix du tourisme québécois, “Tourist Attractions – Under 100,000 visitors” category.

Prix Tourisme 2007, Business Gala of the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de La Baie.

Lauréat régional 2007, Grands Prix du tourisme québécois, “Tourist Attractions – Under 100,000 visitors” category.

Prix Coup d'Éclat 2006, “Novelty or original activity – Tourist attraction and corporation” for the public autopsy of a Greenland shark.

Prix Alphonse-Huard 2005, Regional science award for contributing to the promotion of science and technology.

Prix Rosaire-Corbin 2005, Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park, for contributing to the promotion of the Saguenay Fjord cultural and natural heritage.

Prix de l’événement ou de la réalisation bénévole 2005, (volunteer achievement award) La Baie District.

Prix Excellence 2005, Société des musées québécois for the redesign of the Museum.
