Musée du Fjord presents its new permanent exhibition: the Aquarium du Fjord
Saguenay (Quebec), July 12, 2011. – Within the framework of its cultural and scientific package repositioning project, a $4-million-plus investment, Musée du Fjord is proud to present its new feature exhibition, the Aquarium du Fjord, to be launched for public viewing during the week of July 18, 2011.
The sheer size of the $1.5 million project gave rise to the kind of challenges few Quebec museums have ever faced. From the giant aquarium to the technically complex interactive screens that form an immense virtual aquarium, the know-how of numerous experts was put to the test before this novel exhibition could be achieved.
Musée du Fjord receives a $479 236 help of the government of Canada
This morning, a press conference at the Musée du Fjord announced last investments of the ministry of the Canadian Heritage, and the total of amounts received in support since March, 2009, that is represents $479 236. To know more about it, consult the official press releases:

Sherbrooke Inauguration of the Musée du Fjord Exhibition Abyss: Life in the Deep sea
La Baie, September 15, 2009 - Ms. Guylaine Simard, General Manger of the Musée du Fjord, Mr. Bertrand Morin, President, and Ms. Marie-Claude Bibeau, General Manger of the Musée de la nature et des sciences de Sherbrooke, will inaugurate the Musée du Fjord Exhibition Abyss: Life in the Deep sea on September 17. The exhibition takes visitors on a technological, geological and biological voyage into the heart of the ocean depths. The Sherbrooke museum will play host until February 1, 2010, before the exhibition continues its Canadian tour.
