During peak season, allow an average of two hours for a self-guided tour of the Musée du Fjord and at least one additional hour if you participate in one of our many activities. During off-peak season, allow approximately 1.5 hours.
While we don’t have a canteen or a restaurant, there are a variety of options for food and beverages that can be found less than a 5-minute walk from the Musée du Fjord, including a convenience store, a grocery store, and a few restaurants
No! The Musée du Fjord is open every day (except on Mondays during off-peak season and certain statutory holidays) and reservations are not required for regular visits. Only large groups or those who wish to be accompanied during their visit should contact us in advance to arrange a suitable time.
The low-tide excursion is only offered during peak-season, on days where the tide and weather conditions permit. Depending on the tide, excursion times vary daily. No reservation is required to participate in an excursion: simply arrive at the museum reception desk a few minutes before departure. Low tide excursions, when offered, are included in the price of your admission ticket. We recommend that you call the day before your visit to confirm the departure time.
In order to offer all our visitors a complete experience, admission to the Musée du Fjord ends 60 minutes before the announced closing time.
Out of respect for other visitors, only recognized service animals are allowed inside the Musée du Fjord.
If space is limited in the Musée du Fjord parking lots, you can park your recreational vehicle in the parking lot behind Saint-Alexis Church, across the street from the museum.
